WINE MAKING
At the producer. Prolonged maceration for 4-5 weeks; indigenous yeasts; pumping over twice a day.
Elevation in French oak barriques for 14-18 months and a further 30-36 months of refinement in the bottle.
Potential aging with the buyer: 20-25 years. Particular vintages arrive, in crescendo, at a much later age.

Average age of the vines: 50 years.

Schioppettino.
HARVEST
Manual selected harvest. Harvest period: second half of October.
SOIL: Eocene marl and marly sandstone, alternating with carbonate blocks.
COLOR: Dry red.
BOUQUET: Bouquet of exceptional elegance and personality. The clearest sensations are white pepper and small red fruits, currants and blackberries, intriguing balsamic and undergrowth notes.
FLAVOUR: Savory and full, with fruity sensations balanced with minerality; the supporting tannin is fragrant and well ripe.
Despite being a wine with good structure, it has a refined and almost silky balance; it is baroque, aristocratic, of great elegance and long life; full character and breed. COLOR: Dry red.
TEMPERATURE: 18°C.
Contains sulphites.
