Rosso di Montalcino DOC 75 cl Canalicchio di Sopra
Produced mainly from the youngest vineyards, it represents the calling card of Canalicchio di Sopra wines: a young, fruity and versatile expression of our Sangiovese. The first vintage was produced in 1975, when it was still called Red Wine from the Brunello vineyards.

Soil: The Rosso di Montalcino "Canalicchio di Sopra" comes mainly from vineyards located in the Canalicchio Cru with soil with a strong clay component, very rich in intermediate elements such as Magnesium, Iron and Manganese. In some years, small percentages may also come from the Montosoli Cru where the presence of marl guarantees flavor and minerality.
Training method: Spurred cordon and Guyot
Vineyards: Multiple vineyards mainly in the Canalicchio CRU
Winemaking: In steel tanks with controlled fermentation temperature, daily soft pumping over.
Maceration on the skins for 20 days.
Aging: 12 months in 50 hl Slavonian oak barrels and 750 liter French oak barrels.
Alcohol content: 15.00%
Contains sulphites.
