BOUQUET On the nose the its rusticity is immediately expressed with notes of raw red meat, red fruits that are not always extremely ripe, blackberry and dried plum, cut herbs.
PAIRINGS This Refosco pairs perfectly with meat and game-based dishes.
FLAVOR In the mouth its apparent roughness fully returns, expressed especially in youth, given by a clear contrast between the acidity of the wine and its tannicity. In the perfectly ripe and/or late versions, however, the pulp and alcohol content of the whole make it decidedly soft and warm, immediately pleasant and with aging it manages to express even different and intriguing notes such as tobacco and spices.
