Climate: mild winters, warm springs and autumns with little rain, very hot and dry summers.
Average age of the vineyards: 12 years.
Yield: 75 quintals of grapes per hectare.
Training system: spurred cordon counter-espalier.
Plant density: 4000 plants per hectare.
Vinification: fermentation on skins (12 days) at controlled temperature ( T° max 22° C);
malolactic fermentation in steel. The wine ages in steel until the date of bottling.
Aging in the bottle for about 3 months before being marketed
Alcohol: 13.0% vol.
Organoleptic characteristics
Colour: impenetrable garnet red.
Nose: initially spicy, then the typical notes of ripe red fruits emerge with hints of berries.
Taste: the spicy note returns to the palate, with intense but soft and velvety tannins.
Service temperature: 18°
Food pairings: red meat, but also game; excellent with very aged cheeses.
Contains sulphites.
