Koiné Etna DOC Red Reserve is a Gangemi “family selection” wine.
The grapes that give it life come from three districts that come together in this wine, sharing their wealth.
The ancient vineyards extend over high terraces on the north and south sides of the Volcano,
in the best districts of Passopisciaro and Biancavilla. The cultivation of vines in these areas is
a heroic activity that gives the wine a concentration of taste and a great personality.
SOIL
Volcanic soils rich in skeleton, on the north and south slopes of Etna, located at 600-1000 meters above sea level.
The Koinè Etna DOC Riserva wine is a long-aging red wine, capable of keeping its properties intact for up to ten years.
A sip is enough to recognize the taste of ripe red fruits with pleasant notes of vanilla and toasted almonds.
The minerals of the volcanic soil give it a persistent and elegantly tannic flavour.
