ORGANOLEPTIC NOTES: typical character of Nero d'Avola from Noto but with slightly less calcareous soils: with aromas of mulberry and plum together with balsamic notes, bay leaves, incense, Mediterranean scrub and tar, balanced and made lively by the addition of the exuberant Merlot produced on the same limestone soils. The wood is in the background, well covered by the fruit. The spicy and acidic notes are always quite present on the palate, although well softened by the alcohol and balanced with the tannins.
PAIRING: highly convivial red, it is easy to pair with contrasting flavours. Seasoned meats, mature cheeses; cured meat; grilled meats; sweet and sour preparations. Even with artichokes.
