Production area: Piani hill, Ferrere sub-area in the municipality of Treiso;
Variety: Barbera 100%; exposure: west;
Altitude: 250 – 350 meters above sea level;
Year of planting: 1965 – 2005;
Form of cultivation: gujot, density of plants per hectare: 4000 for the 1965 and 5000 for the 2005 part;
First year of production: 1960 (historically our Barbera was called Ronchi, but subsequently for new acquisitions of land and varietal changes on existing lands we switched to using the name Piani in 1990) .
Soil: medium texture with a small percentage of a type of clay, very similar to bentonite, which makes the soil more spongy, very subject to surface movements, but which gives the grapes a good tannic structure.
Vol.14%.
Contains sulphites.
