Pesto di Cardeddi 190 gr Conserve Conti
The Pesto from “Cardeddi” Conserve Conti is one of these, the main ingredient is “cardeddi”, so called in dialect in Paternò (CT), instead called “cardedda” in Catania. Their scientific name is “sonchus oleraceus L.” the Italian commercial name is Crespigno comune. In Sicily it is customary to eat them boiled simply seasoned with oil, but they are also used after cooking as a condiment for pasta. “Cardeddi” Pesto in extra virgin olive oil is a condiment for pasta, both long and short pasta shapes are fine. We also recommend using pesto as a side dish to meat-based second courses.

oleraceus L." 60%, extra virgin olive oil, salt, acidity regulator: lactic acid.
