Elaborations of Bronte pesto, prepared with Sicilian almonds and hazelnuts.
The first constitutes the basis for the "Trapanese pesto", a typical Sicilian recipe included among the "traditional Sicilian agri-food products" recognized by the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies.
Both can be used as a condiment for first courses
(adding only a base of oil, garlic and sautéed cherry tomatoes),
bruschetta and meat-based preparations. The same storage conditions apply for Bronte pesto.
