Type: sweet meditation red. Grapes: Sagrantino obtained from the company's mass selection, harvested in mid-October in boxes.
Color: deep ruby-purple red.
Aroma: extraordinary and broad aromatic intensity with fruity aromas and hints of blueberry, blackberry, cassis, dried plum and red jam; in the finish chocolate and sweet woody toasted notes.
Taste: highly concentrated attack, sweetness balanced on vibrant acidity; tannins of solid structure with prolonged references to red jam. In the long persistence, dark chocolate and spices are found. Alcohol: 14.50% Vol.
Pairing: meditation wine with a particular taste, Sagrantino Passito is a wine which, like few others in the world, goes well with chocolate and in particular with chocolate desserts spoon (chocolate pudding) or dried (chocolate cake or brownie), with dark chocolate flakes, but also with mature cheeses as well as dry desserts and blackberry or cherry jam tarts.
