Prickly pear mustard 160 gr 33 30
When time was an abundant resource, prickly pears were harvested, peeled, sieved to eliminate the seeds. The pulp, clean and juicy, was concentrated until it was reduced to one third of its weight. Now, that time is precious and life is hectic, we do all of this and we offer you this mostarda, made as it was back then. We follow an ancient Militello Val di Catania recipe, adding cinnamon, fennel seeds and a pinch of chocolate which gives it a unique, intense flavour. Silky on the tongue, sweet without excess, with the aroma of chocolate revealing the underlying fruit and spice note. A full-blown comfort food; to pamper yourself, if eaten with a spoon, or to give a boost to cheeses and gustatory weight to sweets. The combination with blue cheeses is amazing, it opens up new horizons of pleasure.
Ingredients: prickly pears (80%), brown sugar, lemon juice, mass of cocoa, spices. Gelling agent: fruit pectin.
