Milazzo Classico Classic Method Brut in Wood 1.5 lt Azienda Agricola G Milazzo
A unique terroir, the Terre della Baronia with its 9 areas and related sub-areas. The portions of the vineyard in the Munti area where the clonal selections of Inzolia were planted are combined with those in the Milici area where we find some Chardonnay vineyards which benefit from a soil with a medium texture profile and a good share of calcareous skeleton which allow obtain greater verticality and a strong acidic backbone, essential for creating high quality Classic Methods.
GRAPES: dominant Inzolia and Chardonnay
TYPE OF SOIL: Milici, plateau of marly origin, with a high, highly calcareous clay component, rich in skeleton – Munti, organic and rather deep clayey soil
GROWING SYSTEM : Tende and guyot
HARVEST TIME: First half of August Chardonnay – first half of September Inzolia
HARVEST METHOD: Manual in 14 kg boxes
VINIFICATION: Whole bunch pressing, fermentation in controlled temperature and refinement of the sparkling wine bases in steel
MATURATION: The cuvée, with the addition of the "liqueur de tirage", is sent to the secondary fermentation. The bottles were placed in a pile where they remained on the yeasts for a minimum of 24 months
ALCOHOLIC: 12.5% vol.
