“Roncs” in Friulian are the hills cultivated with vines dating back to the times of the Patriarchate of Aquileia and the Republic of Venice. Cialla on the other hand is a small valley enclosed by forests of chestnut, oak and wild cherry trees which enjoys a microclimate like this exclusive and happy that the olive tree still grows there today. In 1970, the family-run farm Ronchi di Cialla was reborn here, aimed at valorising vines of ancient Friulian origin according to a philosophy aimed at a selected production of very high quality wines whose grapes are harvested with the utmost care to obtain a qualitatively perfect product.
