Le Casematte is a Sicilian winery founded in 2008 from the dream of Gianfranco Sabbatino who was joined by Andrea Barzagli, a former footballer with a passion for the sector wine growing.
The vineyard which consists of approximately 11 hectares and overlooks the Strait of Messina is cultivated in an organic regime with the Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio varieties , which contribute to the production of Faro Doc and Etna Doc wines, and then Nocera and Nero d'Avola, Grillo and Carricante, wines resulting from scrupulous artisanal care , remarkable in every way, elegant and natural.
