Wild fennel 12 gr Due Palmenti
Spontaneous herbaceous plant of the Mediterranean area, perennial, with a branched stem, up to 2 meters high, has green leaves that resemble hay. It flowers in summer, producing umbels of small yellow flowers.
Use in the kitchen:
The anise-flavoured leaves and seeds have an intense scent and are suitable for flavoring sauces, preserves, cured meats, cheeses, bread , sweets and much more. Pasta with sardines is a typical Sicilian dish that uses fennel as a fundamental ingredient.
Medicinal properties:
Wild fennel has carminative, digestive, anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic properties.
Particularly indicated in the preparation of infusions and herbal teas in case of gastro-intestinal disorders.
