Herbaceous species with a bushy habit, with taproots and an ascending stem, up to 40 cm tall and slightly branched. The leaves are opposite, lanceolate, narrow, shiny and edged with light down. The flowers are pinkish-white, small, collected in spikes in the axils of the leaves.
